Primtux

I must have heard it in the past, but the trigger to make me move towards this distribution comes from this screenshot's content :

For the non-french speakers, the guy there describes that he was looking for a laptop for his 5 years old child and instead of buying a toy, he looked for a linux distribution aimed at children in order to re-use a spare laptop he had.

The distribution comes with default software to practice reading, writing, maths and more.

At school

In order to re-use an outdated set of laptops, I had to find what to use in order to replace the unmaintained Windows running on them previously. (The guy who set it up went to retirement and despite being well alive, was unreachable and could therefore not provide any information about what he did... I love Kaizen but in that case, we had to start from scratch)

At home

Still looking for refurbished laptop for our children. But going with a Linux computer could be the right way to go for a start.
